Schadenfreude

I first heard this word when I was taking a professional ethics course last year. The thought of what it is - finding joy in other people's misfortunes - interested me. But this? This is just...well, I can't believe it. One time I saw a children's book about animal poop, and the kids were making necklaces out of it. I feel like it's on about the same level as this.
